Horse Racing Testimonials

To perform at their best, racehorses need a healthy functioning respiratory tract to allow oxygen to reach the lungs and fuel their activity.  Unfortunately, respiratory issues are among the most common ailments diagnosed in racehorses.  Prolonged stabling in dusty environments and intense exercise are both risk factors for this type of athlete.  Most racehorses in training suffer from airway inflammation (IAD) which can lead to mucus, EIPH among other respiratory issues.

NYRA Trainer of the Year, 2006 & 2007

"I have been using salt therapy for over a year. In theory it made absolute sense to me. The respiratory system in a horse is difficult to treat but salt can really help things heal. I have used salt therapy successfully on my sick horses, guttural pouches, throat infections, bleeders and all upper airway issues. It really gets the job done."

Michael Stidham

Multiple Graded Stakes Winning Trainer

"We have used salt therapy on several horses with mucus and have seen great results.”

"We had a filly with a chronic mucus issue and our vet recommended using Equine Salt Therapies. Their technician, Jenn treated the filly for 3 days, 1 day off and 2 days leading into her breeze. The filly then scoped clean for the first time. Now we use dry salt therapy regularly for our horses with bleeding or mucus issues. "

"I am very impressed with the results of halotherapy. My horse recovered exponentially quicker and easier from his second wind surgery because of this therapy than after his first surgery a few years before I heard about it. I highly recommend it to anyone with horses that struggle with seasonal allergies to severe respiratory issues. The horses really enjoy the sessions and I noticed my horses breathing easier after 3 sessions”

Hunter Jumper Testimonials

Whether your equine athlete is competing in short stirrup or flying over fences at the Saturday night Grand Prix, their airway function is critical to peak performance and overall health. “Horses have a 1:1 ratio of stride to breath at the canter or gallop.   Whenever we affect their breathing, we effect their stride.” -Wren Burnley, DVM (Source Horse Daily Respiratory Health in Competition Horses- Key Points Sunday June 7, 2020) It has been studied that at least 80% of competition horses suffer from airway inflammation and that can lead to many serious respiratory problems.  Such as, Inflammatory Airway Disease, Upper Airway Disease, Lower Airway Disease, Heaves and allergies to name a few.

"One of my Grand Prix horses is a chronic bleeder as well as having sever asthma. We almost decided to retire him at the age of 13 due to not being able to control the bleeding. Once we began salt therapies, he has been flying! His first class back, he was 2nd in the $75,000 Purina Grand Prix and went on to jumo a super round in the $500,000 Grand Prix, something I didn't think was possible after a bleeding episode earlier in the season. Now I will not walk in the ring without him getting these treatments. A life changing and career-savings addition to his program.”
